Biking

This city is becoming one that increasingly belongs to cyclers, as  extensive bike paths spread throughout the city and bike stations for short-term rentals – Bixi, as it’s called – can be found every few blocks.

How Bixi works:  Show up to any station (for locations, visit http://montreal.bixi.com/the-stations), and insert your credit card!  To save on fees, you can return the bike to a station every half hour, wait five minutes, then claim another included 30 minutes.  Repeat as required.
